I got a leaflet for a new Visa Credit Card for the Yorkshire Building Society.

They also have a tracker credit card at 5.5% above BoE base rate.

this has been out for ages...I am with them more than a year...but I was never got paid the cashback.
their statement never mentioned how much cashback you earned...I called to their call center, one answered me that they didn't offer cashback for their cards. One answered me that you would need to call back to their cashback department. Well, I gave it up...after all, I have some other cashback cards in hand.
By the way, any money experts here can share their experience on this card with me?0 -
This card has been certainly out for a while now. I didn't bother to apply as I am still hunting fees free BT cards.;)0

funny you should mention the cashback. I have one of these cards, and there is no mention of cashback on my statements either. I phoned up to query this, and they couldn't explain why, but said that cashback is definitely accumulating for my purchases. I will be v annoyed if it's not paid in April.0 -

Yes...very strange, isn't it? That was why I called them. BUT the answer as I mentioned in my previous post. I can't remember how much I spent on that card now. But I don't think I will use it too much (maybe £10 a month to keep it alive) untill I do get paid next April.0 -
Okay, getting this card wasn't easy for me...
After being rejected first, I send in copies of my last three months current account statements, statements of my YBS cash ISA and YBS savings account, share portfolio statement, premium bonds certificates, pension statement and mortgage details. They then opened an account for me with a 1K limit. Pah!
When I racked that up in a couple of months I requested the limit to be increased and had to send in 3 months statements again and another credit card statement which had a £12k limit and then they agreed to give me a 4K limit.
Anyway April has now just gone. Has anybody got their cash back yet? My mortgage is not with the YBS but I didn't get a sausage back on April's statement and no cheque has appeared yet.
Anyway I will give it another week for the next statement before I try ringing up to whinge!0 -
I phoned earlier last month to find out when I would get my cashback cheque. They have said that cheques are issued at the end of Apirl, so I am still waiting to see if mine arrives.0

I called them on 23 April. They said cheque would be sent out in April. I believe it when I see it. I give it another 10 days wait.0

I received my cash back cheque yesterday!0

I received my cheque two days ago. BUT it seems that they only calculated the spendings untill the statement of 6 March 07. The spendings on April and May statements were not including. Does Anyone notice the same?0

The cashback year runs from April til March. So Apr and May 2007 will be included in next year's cashback.0
