Configuring Linux to work with Netgear

Can anybody either tell me or point to a webpage that will show me how to adapt my Suse Linux operating system to work with a Netgear 54 Mbps Wireless USB 2.0 adaptor?

Thanks guys. This looks like it is going to be complicated! I did Google around for the answer; there were a lot of people asking, but some of the solutions didn't make sense.
Chippy, in the example you quote, the computer has to be on line in order to use YaST to find the appropriate software. But if you are trying to install a wireless adaptor, then clearly the PC isn't yet on line...
albertross, Gulp! I don't really understand what you are saying. Could you perhaps make the instructions a little clearer? Please talk to me as though I am 2 (I'm 48 really!) I need the starting point on the computer and then I will be fine. After that, I would be happy to follow step-by-step instructions. Sorry to be such a pain, but I really do intend to eventually replace my XP computer with the new one!!!

Haven't used suse.. Netgear don't provide linux drivers but you might be able to use ndiswrapper to workaround that issue, it allows you to download the windows driver from netgear, and then use that under linux.. it's a bit of a faff though, and wpa encryption is a no no.
