Sharp practice when switching

E.on wrote to me that my FixOnline plan is coming to an end so they will switch me to standard online prices. But if I leave E.on they will not pay the FixOnline and monthly direct debit discounts (totaling 21.8%) to my final bill. If I cancel before the plan end date 1 December I will also be billed £30 cancellation fee. Fair enough, I knew there would be a cancellation fee when I signed up if I left before 1 December. I won't cancel during the contract. But after my FixOnline contract has ended, after I kept to the contract for the whole term, after I've got to 1 December they plan to charge me 21.8% (about £100 extra in my case) on my last bill for daring to switch to another provider??? Surely that's anti-competitive and illegal.

When you recieve your final bill you will receive the full discount up until 1st December 2010. You won't receive any discount between the 1st and the date you leave.

echoecho is absolutely right, as you will complete the term of the contract you will receive your full discount up to the 1st December. (when the tariff date ends)

All energy used after this, up to the change of supply will not include discount.
