The Sun 9.50 family holiday to Disney paris

Bear in mind it's a long old drive down to disney, you'd have to be crazy to want to go there and back in a day - and don't forget it'll probably be icy/snowing!
You'd only get 4 or 5 hours tops in the park if you go for the earliest and latest ferry crossings and have no traffic or weather issues.
Looking at the hotel stays, at least for what I looked at, it was MUCH cheaper to book direct with disney and get your park tickets included for the whole stay.0 -
Our family is 2 yr old, (free on Disney direct bookings, included in Sun numbers), 5, 12 (classed as adult at Disney or in Sun booking), 2 adults.
To book the Sun offer on a Monday departure for us, day trip is £51.50 Good price still despite the extra "adult" ticket. But a long day!!! No thanks.
To book the Sun with a nights accomadaation is £51.50 for 1st day and ferry, plus £99 for the room which includes an extra day ticket into Disney. So 2 days park entry. Total £150.50. Hmm...2 days so a bit better. I think about £100 for fuel and tolls. Total £250 but i think i might like a night in Dover area to get away early and into Parks, so £50 for my lot? Total £300.00 for 2 days and 1 night Disney.
To book 2 nights direct with Disney, both nights in the Disney hotel inc breakfast. Dont need a night in Dover as I have extra day in France so getting there early isnt so urgent, £278.00 Plus £100 for the extra bits, Total £378.00 for 3 days 2 nights. Prices do vary by about £20-30 depending on which day you go, some dates are very expensive but if yr flexible its that price.
Because we have the 12 yr old, (He wasn't my idea!!!), its not such good value as opposed to booking direct. Personally I think its worth the extra to have the extra day, with park tickets and the all you can eat continental breakfast. (Don't tell anyone but you can make ham and cheese rolls and take them with you for lunch when no one is looking!). So thats what we will do.
But if you only have the 2 adults and 2 kids, its much much cheaper to do it with the Sun. £9.50 for all 4 of you plus £99 for the room and extra day with park tickets, so 2 days park and a night in Disney hotel, £108.00. bargain! Do it! 1 day direct with Disney is about £10 less than 2 days - don't do that!
Another great offer form the Sun. Anyone want a 12 yr old for a few days.......0 -
The Sun offer only includes ONE days park tickets in the price when you do a hotel stay. You need to pay an extra £40 per adult and £10 per child per day for park tickets. Booking direct gives you park tickets for your whole stay included.0

how have you managed to book it, i thought you needed 7 tokens before the bookings opened, and it was by mail, not phone?

Id rather just use the 9.50 tickets to get into the park and use the eurostar, can you still receive the tickets for 9.50 and not go on the ferry?0

Two quick questions ...
1) There seems to be mixed opinions on here so ... if you stay overnight on site with the Sun offer, does that include entry into the park on the 2nd day ?
2) Looking at the pullout section in the paper, they only list overnight prices for certain days (ie they don't cover the whole period the offer runs for) - are you only able to stay overnight on the nights listed ?0 -

1. If you stay overnight, you only get park tix for the following day i.e. the second day in paris. You need to buy tix seperately for the first day.
2. Sorry, don't know but what I did was go onto the website and check thru all the dates I could go and see availability. I think most days in feb-mar are booked? Its a matter of putting dates/ hotels in and seeing what it throws up; if ur lucky, it'll show u nearest availability too.
hth. first time booking this deal, want to see if DLP is as good as WDW!0 -

Thanks Io07 [ claireB's better half here]
1) Didn't know this. I wonder how many others are assuming like we were that if you stay overnight, it was a case of going to park and staying over afterwards NOT before. If you're right that is so much easier ... late ferry crossing day 1, sleep, go to park and then late ferry crossing that night.
2) We've been doing that - and it does seem limited to certain days of the week.0 -
This is probably a VERY silly question but the website and the actual booking form printed in newspaper are saying 2 different things- basically I don';t know what size SAE to enclose and am worried about sending wrong one in case they then claim my form is incorrect & I lose out on my booking :S
What did others do?? ThanksMarried my wonderful husband February 2013!:happyhearI want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......Must STOP spending!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -
emylou,
I've sent the envelope approx in size to the one mentioned in the paper. 15"X5"??
hope they're not that pernickety! (sp)0
