Unauthorised payment - please help.

I have just received an E-mail from PayPal - asking if I had authorized a payment. I had not authorized the payment - and it say's I can cancel it, and receive a refund. I have checked my Paypal account and the payment is not there. What also seems strange is that Windows Mail has flagged the e-mail as phishing. I have not unblocked the email - I really don't know what to do. Can anyone advise me please?

Good thing you did not unblock and clicked on the links, if you had entered your log in details you could have had your account high-jacked and money stolen from you.
  • i had a very good phish sent to me yesterday, if they had thought of something better than £40 for mobilephonetopup.com then i might have fell for it :D

Email said paypal customer? Not your real paypal name?

Change passwords right away and check paypal every day.

I'd forward it - without clicking anything - to spoof@paypal.com too I think it is.

(though I accidently forwarded a non-paypal email to it recently by clicking on the wong auto-saved name in my address book - it sent me one back saying 'you're right, it is a spoof mail' :rotfl:
