Expensive clothing?
Comments

suggest you offer to pay for normal item and she tops up from pocket money if she wants an expensive one - should make her think twice. Or wait for Christmas or birthday. I am in the real world - have a just turned 17 girl and nearly 15 boy and neither bother to ask for labels. DD enjoys getting a bargain herself and shops in primark - looking for fashion rather than labels. And son is computer nerd and doesn't care what he wears. HTH0

Despite being a bit harsh this post is on to something...most of the stuff being discussed aint even designer its just chav brand clothing, educate your kids into real fashion or let them buy lifestyle brand clothing, here are the designers
It's sad to see people spending money on labels like Hollister and Abercrombie. They aren't high end, they aren't designer (which names design for them?), they aren't high quality, it's pretty much all marketing. A little bit of research and you can find real designer/fashion labels at similar pricepoints during sale time (Net-A-Porter/MrPorter hit 70% off for example). Better yet genuinely high end stuff tends to actually hold its value...0 -

Went there myself earlier in the year. Was hilariously watching the passengers leaving the plane - Louis Vuitton, Prada, Abercombie etc everywhere. The manchester airport staff must have a giggle!Looking for a fresh start0 -
The charity New Life has an outlet near me and I've picked up brands such as Hollister, River Island and Ted Baker in there in the past for less than a fiver. The internal branding is normally destroyed but external branding is usually in tact.
They're a charity that receive most of the stock from high street stores that they cannot sell in sales etc... some of it is brilliant though so if you have one nearby, it's definitely worth a look!Started 30/08/2011Biggest Wins: GHD's, 5* Trip to London, VIP Trip to Isle of MTV Festival in Malta.
Thanks so much to all who post

American Eagle is not associated with A&F
The only A&F brands are:
Abercrombie & Fitch
Hollister
Gilly Hicks
abercrombie (kids)0
