                    Hi
After months of hell we have finally exchanged and hopefully we move next Tuesday (Yipeeeee )
)
Anyway my main question (Stupid one I know) is how do I get electricity & gas to be turned on? Do I just ring british gas and tell them i'm moving there next tuesday so can you have it ready for then. The problem is the property has been vacant for 6 months.
Thanks
Mark

            I have a similar problem in that I am moving in to a property very shortly but don't no the name of the previous electricity supplier and the seller has not provided the information. The property does currently have electricity connected but can I just take a meter reading when I move in and go to any electricity supplier or do I need the details of the previous electricity supplier/account number?.0

            i would ask your solicitors to contact the sellers in order to obtain this information. Im surprised it wasn't provided to you when the seller completed their paperwork along with the fixtures and fittings list 0 0
