Happy with bill!!

Options
:rotfl:don't say that often

Gas and electric bill came today - £75 for 3 months. The gas was £23, and the electric £52
The weird bit is that my gas is usually more than my electric - it says on the bill for amounts used
electric - 3.5kwh currently and 3.3kwh last year
gas - 4.2kwh currently and 9.9kwh last year - seems like a huge difference?

I use 7kWh in one day in a one bedroom flat. There is no way you'd use only 3.5kWh in one year!!

Is this bill based on an actual reading or is it estimated?

oh no, it's per day - what I use per day now, and what I used per day this time last year :D

Have you checked the gas meter reading to see if they took it correctly? I just had my electricity meter read today and as he left I asked him what the reading was.. 194 he said and I closed the door. Took a look myself, have to climb a step ladder and perch right on the top to read it so not just a matter of glancing at it while he was there.. and it was 294.. what a dope!

Gas usage will probably be down a fair bit as it hasn't been anywhere near as cold in October/November this year when compared with last year so less heating requirement???

Don't understand that at all - I've had my gas c/heating off all Summer - gas has only been used for hot water for showers and the occasional use of a gas hob - yet I used ~ 14kWh per day - can't imagine how you get away with 4.2kWh - unless you don't have any hot water??? lol

do you know, everytime I post I am happy with my bill, people question it :rotfl:
erm, gas hob, electric oven, central heating, water is from an "on demand" boiler

Bill says from 4th Aug - 27th Oct - 387 gas kwh used
In the last 12 months, 5,598 kwh used

I thought you were questioning it and asking for suggestions. I saw the question mark at the end of your OP.

If you were merely wanting to tell everyone how cheap your bills are.. then well done.
