  • i know someone who works at my local asda and they've told me that the best time to get reduced meats and such is friday and saturday morning as soon as they open.

then the night shift have cleared out all the end of week dates and there's usually loads of meat reduced.
  • A couple of years ago we used to go shopping late at night just beofre they shut and we used to get all the fresh meat for between 10p and 50p a pack ,including fresh chickens ,steak etc.Even the odd duck and quail lol.We actually used to help the guy look for stuff and then he would mega reduce it for us as we were always the last people in the shop so it would go in the bin once they shut .Also he wouldnt get in to trouble for missing any cos we would help find it all.Unfortunatly hes left for another store now but was great while it lasted

I dont understand why everyone doesnt shop at Asda.

Their range of self brands is incredible. Anything you want, theyll make it, and at a much cheaper price.

We used to shop at Asda all the time but now shop at Tesco. No matter how cheap Asda's prices are, they can't beat free! And they will also do anything to get out of following their clearly laid out policy with regard to when the customer is overcharged! ALWAYS Check your receipts when you have been through checkout.

Just to let you know the Asda I went to was the one in Cardiff Bay, about 8.30/9pm last night. I think, though, some stores `chucking out' times vary..............
Had my 10p tub of blackberries and 15p mango this morning as a smoothie. Deeelishhh!
