What Benefits will i be entitled to?

  • Because you left your job voluntarily, the jobcentre will probably sanction you (2 Weeks, 4 Week or 26 Weeks). Because of the sanction you will not qualify for Contribution Based JSA or Income Based JSA.

You will have to claim Hardship Allowance JSA during the period that the sanction is in force.

After which you may be entitled to Income Support if you are pregnant.

Your claim may cease after six months if your partner is working full time.

Why don't you contribute something more substantial, surely you can sympathise with the situation I described?

Sympathise with the viewpoint that couples shouldn't support each other financially and that benefit fraud is acceptable - I hope you're joking!

Her partner (whom she is moving in with) has a good job so she isnt entitled to anything but contributions based JSA for now.
