amy, no need to apologise, I perfectly understand, plus there should be no need to anyway as there are quite a few elf name generators about.
My santa sacks arrived from ebay too - they will do the job nicley0 -
Hiya everyone, I posted on the other thread a couple of times, but can I join in here too please.
I love everyone's ideas for mischief and things. I saw on page 2, someone had posted the link to some personalised sacks, so I'm just off to order one. Thanks to whoever it was who posted it.
Last year our elf was called Mistletoe. He wasn't a stuffed toy, more like a stuffed ornament (soft body and wooden legs) it was all I could find at the last minute. DD loved him so much and took him everywhere that his leg fell off, :rotfl:poor thing! I have replaced him with the boy elf from America, a lot of money I know, but DD is 8 just after Christmas, so this may be the last year of believing so I wanted to make it special. Our new elf is going to be called Jingles. I can't wait now.
Right, I'm off to order the sleeping bag/sack, speak to you all soon. Take care xxxI :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hiya, please can you add our elf to the list: Eggnog Tinsel-Toes.
We have picked up the aprons from poundland. They had some largish fabric sized sacks in there (saying Reindeer treats I think) which we'll be using since he has to bring things for 5 children. Also managed to get lots of activity bits from Wilkos and already have some xmas books ordered from book people last year. Have written up an activity list and just got the passport and letter to finalise and print out.
Amy - elf shoes sound sweet where did you get them from?I was a twin mum +2 but have been a twin mum +3 for a few years now.0 -

I've got most of my elf bits now. I got a couple of notebooks from Wilkinson (£1.18 each) to use as journals, and like knithappens gold and silver pens to write on the cover. Unfortunately on the one for my nephew I made a mistake, and as the pens are permanant I had to stick a photo of his elf over the mistake! Luckily it actually looks really good with the photo!
I got a smallish sack from a 99p shop for them to carry their things in, and from the same shop 3 stockings that I'm converting into sleeping bags. There is a white header on the front of the stocking, I have cut a slit below this header, and put some wadding in, then sewn the header onto the back of the stocking to form a pillow. Sorry I'm not always good at explaining things but will put a pic on my blog in the next day or two. It works really well, might be an idea for anyone else having trouble finding a suitable sleeping bag.0 -

the stocking beds sound wonderful, I may do this too, a trip t the £1 shop is in order either this afternoon or tomorrow. The xmas sack are for santa to leave for the their pressies, I could have the leves arrive in them with the kids names on them, so they know wich is their elf, then on xmas day they will wake up to the elves gone and their gifts from santa in the sacks0
