Transferring money from UK to foreign bank account

You may have already decided but Post Office have started to do International Payments now, might be worth a try? Not used it myself though

It's via HIFX, not as easy or as good rates as XE.com & you have to send min £250, sometimes you don't want to send as much.

Okay, so I withdrew SG$600 from an ATM with the Nationwide Flex Card. Checked my statement online a couple of days later, it came to £298.39, including the Visa 2% + £1 Nationwide tip.

So I logged into Xe and plugged in that £298 to see how many Singapore dollars I would get. I would have got SG$603.

The exchange rate hasn't changed much, so I don't see that it's worth the hassle of transferring the money via Xe.

And I don't know how much OCBC, my Singapore bank, would charge on top of that for receiving it.

I guess there'd be a gain if I transferred more in one chunk to avoid the £1 charge for each ATM withdrawal...
