Tablet PC for reading PDFs and watching videos?

I've been looking at a Kindle DX to read PDFs and recently looking at something to watch videos on when commuting. It occurred to me I should be able to get a tablet machine to do both.
Can anyone recommend a tablet PC 7-10 inch screen which will do both? Doesn't have to do HD video. Would prefer flash memory rather than a traditional hard drive (keeps battery lasting longer).
