The Housing Ombudsman

  • No out of my service charge funds which are really only for "every day repairs" and the work should have been done before I moved in as they are not "every day repairs". But even if they did come out of the "service charge funds" which I pay ever week since I only moved in January this year I would not have enough equity to cover the whole of the work and there is a clause in the lease which says if my service charge funds are in deficit at the end of the financial year (which would be April 2011) they could recover the deficit out of my own funds. As this would be likely to be the case if I allowed them to go ahead with the work I would be damned on two counts.

I believe the Ombudsman will find very strongly in my favour that I am correct in this matter and have suffered pain and stress as a result of the HA's maladministration.

  • So sorry this happened to you also but it does prove that I need not feel personally persecuted about it so cheers for that ()- although I do feel it from time to time as the HA bill themselves as "leaders in rehousing the disabled with emotional support needs!"

They aren't as bad my previous HA but since the anti-social behaviour officer there tried to beat up my carer for supporting me in complaining about them that isn't saying much.

Honestly you couldn't make it up about these HA's.
