I just read the latest MSE news about house prices rising 16% by 2014 and was surprised to learn that this year they will have risen by 7% compared to the start of the year. I suppose it's a good idea to buy now in that case, if you can, I always say that property always goes up eventually so better to try and get on that ladder sooner rather than later.
Thanks for that advice.
I'll pop out now and stock up on two.0 -
Reading all this, I guess I came up with two options:
1. Grab the debate, and enter into it hoping for another 133 posts all arguing whether it might be nearer 16.5% or even 17%.
2. Go and have a large gin & tonic.

Actually no, that's not what your link says at all. What it actually says is:House prices could rise 16% by 2014
Of course house prices could rise 16%. They could also drop 16%. They could rise 1,000,000%. They could become free. Doesn't mean it's going to happen. You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -
clearly this person has gone into the future, calculated the change in the average house price over the period and then has come back to the present time to report their findings.

This is probably true.
I just wish the lazy b*gger had looked at inflation, interest rates, GDP, Balance of Payments etc. at the same time.
And tell us if Cleggy and Dave are still in power.0 -

Also can they tell me the value of the FTSE in 2014, or which shares have gone up the most?
