Arials & Splitters

Hi. I have tested the aerial signal with a Labgear DVB-T Finder & it shows there is 80 db or volts. This is the highest signal that the aerial picks up. Also i have a 4 way u/v/fm splitter 5-900mhz but however when testing the aerial leads in each room with the Labgear DVB-T Finder it picks no signal up in any room and i dont know why?
Then i tried another splitter and now it picks the signal up but there is only tv in one room ive tried tuning the tv's in but theres still only tv in one room.

can anyone help me ? any replys i will be greatfull thank you
buzzyy

Is the splitter powered or not? Many splitters and splitter/amplifiers are remotely powered via a PSU at one of the television outlets.

You will often get different characteristics at one of the outlets, either because that is the one that is designed to provide phantom power to it, or because that is a "pass-through" connection to allow phantom power to pass on to another device (e.g. a mast-head amp) closer to the aerial.
