I cant however just show up on christmas day with a bottle of wine because even though she says she doesnt want anything, she will show her ar5e if i actually dont get her anything.
Anyone have any good gift ideas? - Im open to anything except perfume/makeup etc. (she will just stick it in a cuboard somewhere and then go out and buy her own )
Sounds like my DH's nan. We always buy her vouchers for her to use on her shopping or how about making up a food hamper with things you know she will use? We make a hamper for my FIL we put in cheese, biscuits, small bottles of wine, port, baileys, biscuits, peanuts, cooking oils (he loves cooking) a funny book that type of thing, christmassy but things we know he'll eat he loved it the first year and now we do it each year as he's so hard to buy for!0 -
can anyone help, im after a single in car DVD player (the type that attatches to headrest). I can only find them for £100 and thats a bit out of my budget. the cheaper the better, its only for my 2 year old you see.
Can I make a suggestion? My DH has worked selling cars and a lot of the lower priced car dvd player are rubbish and break really quickly. I got our kids these
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5338306/Trail/searchtext%3EDVD+PLAYER.htm and these http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5343896/Trail/searchtext%3EDVD+CARRY+CASE.htm
The cases mount to the front headrest, but so much better value as when you are going away or staying somewhere all day they can take the whole lot inside and watch indoors.
Argos has some lower prices on other brand dvd players http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?pp=20&s=Price%3A+Low+-+High&storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002451&langId=-1&q=PORTABLE+DVD+PLAYER&canned_results_trigger=%2528free_text%253D%253D%2528%2BPORTABLE_x20_DVD_x20_PLAYER%2529%2529 the cases are half price with some of them at the moment thats the deal we went for at the time.
£65 for the 2 items on this one, good reviews on the player too.

Not a particularly exciting one this, but FIL is wanting some Gillette smellies for Xmas. Not razors though. Seen nothing in supermarkets or Boots, Amazon websites. Anybody seen a gift set before I tell him to stop wanting rubbish that is hard to find?
Saw some in Superdrug today part of their 3 for 2 offers.
