iDog - Would he like something like this. It is an interactive speaker - you have to stroke him and play music to keep him happy. Connect to ipod nano, but does not charge it so might not be what you are looking for, however, my son has one and thinks its great - so you might want to consider it as an option. £20 on Amazon or plush versions in TRU for £10. Got ours from TK Max for £7.99 some months ago tho.

Got my DS one of these for the Xmas before last and it is really good. Got mine from Home and bargains for £4!!

they had a big box of gillette stuff in boots a couple of weeks ago, it had deo, aftershave, face cream etc... in it i think it was half price at around £15??? there were about 8 items in it worth a look? x

Thanks - will have to have a look in store!

EDIT: Actually looking at the single items on the Boots website on 3 for 2, think I'll get a few of them and package them up nicely instead!

Just got my DD one of these for her bday 2morrow - if anyone is after one I got the large plush teddy version of the idog today from Smyths for 7.99 and Home Bargains have a small Idog in which you can decorate yourself for 4.99. The plush one is gorgeous, very soft and very very cute - it had lights on its nose like the one above which light up to the music and he has a pouch to out your ipod/mp3 player in. Ideal stocking filler for a teenager too especially if they are having something small and expensive - this is a large cheap pressie for under the tree
