Do you find the Samsung Kies software as clunky and useless as I do generally?

Also why can you not send folders of music to the device? I have to open each and every artist folder and then album folder to select groups of MP£'s to transfer!

Is there an alternative to this shoddy software?

Alternative is cut and paste .
Agree Kies is a total let down but you need it for the update to Froyo .

Can I copy/paste the folders of music as opposed to the MP3S?

Kies is ok for backing up contacts etc. but if you want to copy across files just connect your phone in USB mode. You can then drag and drop folders like you would with any removable drive.

Don't know too much which version of Galaxy S but I found this on Android Market for my Desire and it says Samsung Galaxy S I9000 as supported , I wanted to sync with my Thunderbird/Lightning and this was the only one I could find but still playing with at the moment but it looks Awesome IMHO
It is MyPhoneExplorer and it has a client for windows here . Only had it for 1 hour but it looks I might be donating if my first impressions are to be trusted.
