Laptop on Rebooting Loop

Heya all.
My laptop screen went completely black whilst it was on so I did a forced reboot because it was the only way I could think of to rectify it because no matter which buttons I pressed it didn't work.
However now it's stuck on a forced reboot. The laptop turns on, whirs, stops and then reboots again. The screen won't light up and the windows logo doesn't show, nor the bias and I can't get into safe mode because of this.
The laptop is a HP G6000 and is running Vista. I've tried taking the mains plug out and only using battery and vice versa, but nothing has helped.
Could someone please offer me some assistance?

hold down the off key for 10 seconds
if that doesn't work, and nothing comes on screen at all, could be this

That still didn't work.
Thanks for the link. Wouldn't surprise me if it was that. Just can't afford any repairs at the moment. =/2019 Wins

Just tried now. The only message on the screen was "Going to sleep". We couldn't get anything else on the monitor and we definitely had the right plug in. We tried everything. =/2019 Wins
