Hello all,

I came across this charity 'Lisa's Stars'on facebook - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lisas-Stars/159738440713941#!/pages/Lisas-Stars/159738440713941

Lisa's stars is a group making hats, blankets etc for tiny premature babies who are born asleep. They want to supply local hospitals with a stock of basics so no baby is left naked or in very ill fitting clothes. Every baby deserves dignity... and every parent should be able to remember their baby dressed and warm and cosy.

They mentioned an easy (and no extra cost) way we can help.

Some people on there have mentioned the little wooly hats you get with ' innocent smoothies' are the perfect size for many babies born asleep.

If you buy one of the smoothies and it comes with a hat, send it to them.

Email them for the address. A PO Box address is being set up as from tomorrow.

If I buy smoothies, I'm sending my hats to them, I think this is a beautiful charity.

Also anyone who can knit can send along items at any time. Many people have posted up some good sized patterns on there as well.

Thanks

  • Thanks.
yes, we are trying so hard to gather premature angel hats, clothes, blankets for premature babies across UK. It is too sad to leave little babies naked, as parents you just want to see them safe and warm and cosy.
I know few can imagine a baby dying in your arms, I know most avoid it and cross the street sadly, but a little can go so far for these babies. Loss happens ... Babies sadly sometimes dont make it home to their beautiful nurseries, prams ... clothes.
    Thanks for any help
