Driving License Renewel
My driving license photo expired about 12 months ago so i'm thinking I should maybe get around to renewing it.
Looks like there is a cost of £20 :money:
Today, I was on the phone to register a credit card who asked if i wanted to pay £11 a year to Insure my credit against theft, etc and this would include paying for a new driving license should i lose it:undecided.
This got me thinking  ... If i lost my driving license, and applied for a new one... could i ask for a new photo at the same time? Potentially saving me £20?
I've looked on the DVLA website but cant decide if this is possible. Any thoughts anyone?

You could do but its £20 to replace a lost driving licence http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/DriverLicensing/NeedANewOrUpdatedLicence/DG_40220850

but if i take out the cover with my credit card, they will pay for it. So it would only cost me £11 for the insurance, plus i get the annual cover on my cards.
Having thought about it, i'm presuming the card company are covering driving licenses in the case of a lost/stolen wallet. So I would need to replace my credit card too, and probably a police report.
Maybe i'll just stump up the £20.
cheersWhat's it going to be, eh?0
