Transferring camcorder tapes to dvd

Hi
I have several camcorder tapes that I would like to transfer to DVD.
There are VHSc tapes and there are Mini DV tapes.
I have a camcorder that suits the Mini DV tapes but I have nothing to playback the VHSc tapes, except the VHS adaptor that I put into a video cassette player.
I would like to add music to some of the films as well.
Which type of software or equipment would I need for this?
Thank You
S.B

Does your pc have a graphics card with a av input socket as then you could just plus the vhs recorder into your pc and use windows movie maker or roxio/nero to then create a edited dvd.0

Excuse the ignorance but what does the AV input look like?0

Its a red, yellow and white socket usually or sometimes just the yellow socket on its own0

I've found a yellow socket that says 'vid out' and there is a red socket that says 'SPDIF OUT'0

If you're video camera has an AV lead (3 plugs on the end) you can get an AV to USB adaptor cheap and plug into you PC. Or you can do it via firewire if your PC has that. OR you can put them in an evelope and pay £3 per tape to have them done. Search ebay for DV to DVD.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0
