Change over meter readings ?
How do the 2 companies (powergen-->Ebico) agree the
reading for my switch over ?
I sent meter readings (gas/electric) to Ebico last friday but I do not switch over until tomorrow, how do powergen know how much of their energy I would have used by my change over point..

Ebico send readings to powergen - So powergen take readings from your new supplier - So if you gave your readings to Ebico last week then Ebico would be getting an extra week from you.0

gal, but the turn over date is tomorrow and powergen supply gas and electric to me up and until then.
They will bill me accordingly not up and until last friday when I gave ebico my
meter readings I assume.0 -
If your worried call Ebico and give them a set of readings tomorrow.

Not really worried just curious how they
know who has supplied me what.0 -
Well Ebico would be the ones that send the readings - Best thing to do is to see what they come through at - My guess is they will send the readings you gave last week.

Agree with Gal on this one, once you have a date of supply and that date has come, the old supplier will usualy send thru a back end system the readings, this can take anything upto 4 weeks to be confirmed and registerd on the correct databases...Just a quicky tho, make sure you take notes of all the reads on or very near the day the new supplier has taken over and put it ontop of ya meter for atleast 6 months,,,you just never know, better safe than sorry.
andyHey folks...remember I might work for the company but I am a human and working in my own time, I will not responde to people who are rude, sarcy and crits me. My views and comments do not reflect British Gas and they are totally unreasponsable for my responses.0 -
Thanks for the info on timings. My switchover was last week. I was wondering how soon it would be before I got my money back from BG and powergen.0

We switched to Equigas recently. I put in my reading a couples of days early. They just added on a few units and gave this reading to Scottish Power. I switched on 21st Sept. and got a refund cheque from SP yesterday.0
