Bush hd Free to air Sat box

I brought the Humax as I record a lot but my sister brought the Bush HD box as she doesnt record, however on her screen she keeps losing the picture and getting a message about the hdmi lead? plus lots of buzzing is it the box or her tv any ideas welcome.:o

    ues a hmdi cable instead of scart , far better.

    Sounds like a cable isn't secure, best check that first, and maybe try a different cable as well if you can. What kind of connection are you using?

    hmdi lead but works better with scart thats why i wondered if its the link to tv?

    Well if she has a HD Receiver connected by a Scart lead only, she will not get any HD content.

    If her TV worked fine before she bought the box, then it has to be the box or the lead that's at fault.....

    Agreed, it is probably a Freesat Receiver, not a " Free to Air " one, probably bought from Argos, or similar.

    I will not pass on my opinion on them..:rotfl:

    I assume that is a question?

    Freesat is a dedicated satellite system that has its own EPG, Free to Air is a different system that is generally used to receive satellite from many different satellites.

    Humax make lots of boxes, and I'm sure Bush do too.

    You could help us help you by posting model number of the one that's giving the problem, what TV it's being used with, and the exact text of the error message that's being received.

    What kind of 'buzzing'? Through the speakers, or any other kind?

    not sure i dont live with her just getting info by phone i will look tomorrow plus son due home at weekend who will know fault im sure sorry to trouble you, thought it might have been simple fault, i asked her to change the lead but shes 70 odd and not tech minded so son will do it when he comes around,
