Hi there,
Today I installed windows xp pro service pack three on my computer as I dislike vista a lot...and lost quite a few drivers. I have found them all barr the one for my ethernet controller. My computer is a packard bell imedia x2415, motherboard is packard bell bv, model: MCP73VT-PM. Any help would be fab, thanks. :money:

Don't be put off upgrading to Windows 7 if the opportunity arises, just because Vista is so awful. I had a Vista based PC and ran both XP and Windows 7 on it before going for Win 7. Win 7 performance was comparable to XP in terms of start up, shutdown times and simple tasks, but of course has the newer features. Vista was considerably slower than both at everything it did, or tried to do. Don't miss it one bit!

"driver robot" - this is a scam! I tried it briefly and it did nothing except find loads of drivers "needed" or "wrong".
Try and google it and everything comes up roses but search groups and you get a different picture

Well the reviews are very very mixed and it seems to be more a very slick marketing scheme.
You never said in the thread that you paid for this questionable program, which is very relevant on a moneysaving website.
You could have simply downloaded a free diagnostic prog and I.D'd the ethernet controller and gone to the maker's site to get the most up to date driver for free.0
