Hi
After having a rather nasty virus on my laptop and having to remove everything off it and load it all back on which got through AVG and malware bytes I have now removed AVG and installed Microsoft Security Esentials. What else would you advise please.
Thanks

Malwarebytes only checks on demand-things don't get stopped by it on entering your pc. Maybe try a firewall , I use outpost which is good in that it warns when something is trying to modify critical bits of pc.0

be more cautious with what you do online.
alot of protection is really down to common sense.
watch out for dodgy emails/links/files etc....
also look at getting a firewall.. cant recomend a standalone one as use a secuirty suite myself..
commodo.. zone alarm etc do free ones.. people not too keen on zone alarm nowdays apparerntly though..0 -
As moonie says be careful, try Firefox and NoScript, firewalls are okj but they are stilll the same as most things (including Noscript) just don't click OK think first and of course keep independent backups.
