SPAM from Jim Harrison / O&O Software GmbH

Aaaaaargh!!! Usually spam doesn't annoy me - I don't get that much anyway, and getting annoyed at some dodgy person sending unsolicited messages isn't going to help or stop the spam, but...
About 8 or 10 years ago I signed up for a free copy of O&O Defrag, and received some legitimate advertising emails offering other O&O products.
Then I tried to cancel the emails. Over the years I must have logged onto their website at least 30 times to unsubscribe from their "newsletter". I have replied to their emails with "unsubscribe" in the subject line, and emailed their customer service email address several times with the same request.
Yet every few days I receive yet another unsolicited email (spam) from O&O - I imagine this is illegal under both UK and German law. :mad:
I know it's trivial, and I wouldn't expect anything less from scam artists selling Viagra and Rolex watches, but it just annoys me so much when an apparently legitimate company can behave with such blatent disregard for their potential clients (and, presumably, the law).
Sigh.

I hate this too. Why should they send me all these e-mails. i won't read them anyway. I received e-mails about viagra for 2 years. I have never hidden I'm a woman

Let them send them, you don't have to read them. Plonk them into the junk folder/flag them as junk and lose em. Out of 30-50 mail I receive each day about 2 are good, the rest just disappear.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I know... I should just chill out! I think it's the fact that the spam addresses me by name and the company is "legitimate" that it annoys me. I don't expect a company that cares about its reputation to spam me!!!
Sigh... Okay... I've calmed down now and will never mention this outrage again!0 -
I bounce emails to gmail accounts and it filters most of the spam
You could then add the domain name in filter and it will remove it
I know its annoying I often get odd email which say unsubcribe and when clicked it doesn't work
It isnt worth getting angry about I use that program but dont get any spam myself0
