Media Player

Can someone recommend a low cost media player for me please?

I need it to feed wmv files saved from Powerpoint 2010 to a hdtv with good quality.

Videolan's VLC is free and Open Source, and works well for me.
  • This is good and free.

    Not spare unfortunately.

I forgot to mention, I also need the file to play in a continuous loop.
  • I guess that you are looking to a permanent fixture then, and does it need to be wifi enabled or usb enabled for the presentations.

Just usb. I would have them on a memory stick.

My son has just tried with his first generation Western Digital media player without success. The file was not recognised.

    Any more suggestions please?
