  • I can't believe that house prices in Scotland are anywhere near what they were. All just people blowing the bubble up again!

Here are the facts as given in a graphical manor from the monthly released figures from the ROSEA

  • I did, however my roots are still there and I will return some day.

Many have travelled from the area and there even is a song penned about it that is very appropriate

    Don't you mean:

    The people of old Aberdeen
Have riches that cannot be seen
    It's called Bricks and Mortar
    Ten thousand a quarter
    The profits are truly Obscene

    Nope..........
It is true that the people of Aberdeen have a higher than average average salary according to the ONS

That has little to do with bricks and mortar though ;)

    Well done. You're right.

Aberdeen City people earn about 85% of people down here (Epping Forest).

Oh Gawd, ISTL. Your posts are always informative but this one has done my head in: what the heck is a graphical manor? Is it a property unique to Aberdeen that's set out on three floors but with a house price index to walk up instead of stairs?

Your picking me up on a spelling mistake.
Hardly condusive to the topic being discussed is it?

My hands are held up high, often in this forum, I type quickly and don;t proof read.
I'm prone to the odd spelling mistake, most notably when I hit the ; instead of ' when apstrophising (is that a word) i.e. don;t

Nevermind, you may get a few thanks for picking me up on my spelling mistake. I'm not going to argue against it or worry too much.

I may take the time later to quote the paragraph about a Cambridge University research into spelling and shows it does not affect the ability to understand the contect and words portrayed in that paragraph, even when grossly bad spelling is used.

I do take it you understood that I had intended manner instead of manor, but just wanted to take the p!ss

Very nice. I'm not about to get into a p!ssing context over which area earns more on average.

Out of interest, how do property prices compare to wages in Epping Forest?

    Thanks for that. :)

MSE isn't, so far as I know, running a contest to find the most humourless post of the year, but if it does, this entry of yours may well beat all others.

    Congratulations!

    No problem,

I didn't realise that MSE forums was a comedy contest.

Hmmm, upon reflection, it probably would win awards for it ;)
