Do you have a "Riding for the Disabled" near you? It would be an idea to contact them to try and arrange for your child to attend.0

Yes. It's called Freesat and it's what we have. We just called Sky and cancelled (be prepared for them to try to talk you into staying). Once the service was cancelled, the box and dish still picked up the free channels (and there are more than you think).
It was the best thing we ever did.
Thank you that's great news. We have discussed and are going onto Freeview, so we'll cancel with Sky tomorrow.

My tax credit paperwork showed working tax credits had been paid this tax year but also that it had stopped being paid now so we could now claim. I had to get the form from the school office, filled it in and the lovely secretary there copied some pages and told me there and then that we qualified. It is a real help and now the children have a hot dinner lunch time, they can have something smaller for tea.
Hope this helps and good luck claiming.
Thank you so much for this. You guys have been wonderful.0 -

Husbands £200 was going towards this, but we are going to pool our resources and do a new budget. Watch this space, so to speak.

No we don't. We have looked into this but the nearest is 90 miles away and not do-able on a weekly basis. The school we have chosen is good, and the instructor experienced in disabled children and their needs so we are lucky in that respect.:)0 -

Now that is looking much better. £9 left over is not much for the purse to hold over a month but it's better than the deficit we had.
I still need to look at the life assurance as that is too high, was checking into it today. Need to open a Quicko account.
Also awaiting forms for Council Tax Benefit and I'll enquire about school meals.
Sky say we have to give a months notice to cancel, but it will be switched off from 11 December.
Also Mortgage protection kicks in from December. Just think, I'll be able to wack that against the overdraft and the credit cards.
Oh and I have an interview for a job next week. I feel so much better than I did yesterday.

I may be talking rubbish but it may be worth going to CAB to ensure you are getting all the benefits you are entitled to. As you have probably found out no one will tell you about them you have to ask.0
