    Hi Karen. My point would be that both of these are single core processors and people now tend to look at dual core as a minimum.
    For another £50 you would get a dual core processor and a more comprehensive version of Windows (although surprisingly the wifi is 11g as against 11n which is on the cheaper one) http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.210-4605.aspx

    the 'n' is the latest and is faster than whatever went before but that only applies if your router is 'n' as well.

    I've had a sky router for about 2 years, I'm assuming it wouldn't be an 'n' ?

    n or not isn't going to affect your download speed for some time to come, if ever.

    any good for what? - browsing/normal use, anything you buy new will do that easily, as will anything from the last 5 years.

    You're probably right so it isn't really a problem... just a minor consideration but I do think the dual core processor is a desirable improvement.
