the one thing that sticks out for me when I scan this site is the no. of people who call by seeking reassurance; they've been given a scam ticket and think 'oh no! the sky's fallen in! I'm gonna get brought before judge cocklecarrot. my law-abiding reputation is in bits. neighbours will avoid me, etc, etc'.
then they do a tad of research and realise they're being taken for a sucker by a bunch of pondlife confidence tricksters.
then some trickster with a vested interest in this 'industry' hoves into view who attempts to worry and mislead people by insisting 'court is very much an option to us. don't be fooled into thinking we just go away. pay now and all will be forgotten, allowing you to get on with your life'.
I've seen a few examples of this fraudulent, money-grasping behaviour, both on this site and elsewhere. and, of course, the scammer always receives a humongous boot in the groin from the smarter posters.
all of this should be enough to satisfy first-time PPC ticket victims but they still call by, looking for that extra piece of reassurance.
so, as a service to them, could someone with both the time and inclination post a list of failed court cases (say over the past 2yrs)
juxtaposed alongside a list of successful cases (only 1 that I'm aware of).
I'm assuming that such lists are out there, of course. but posting here may be of much help. (apologies if this has already been done on an older post).

I know of two. The famous Thomas case which is widely thought to be a setup( or just fooh) and one in Scotland who parked over thirty times and the judge thought he was taking the proverbial.
At the head of the list of failed ones are OPC who have been blown out of the water about 30 times recently.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
There was a Minster Baywatch loss in Court, and at least one NHS Trust Trethowans loss.
Also, OPC actually won a case but the motorist is appealing it which could be interesting.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
