What to do with unwanted cables/leads - ?

We recently replaced all the computers where I work and I have been left with a big box of cables & leads that we can't use and don't want (no storage space!).
I'm just wondering what is the best thing to do with these? I'm assuming they're not worth anything, but don't really want to just bin them all.
We have about 50 'kettle' type leads, 30-40 DVI-D cables, and assorted miscellaneous others such as the leads that would connect the desktop to the monitor for the sound, etc.
Any ideas? or do I chuck them in a skip? (would seem a shame

EBAY them
You could get a pound or two for each cable.
You'd be suprised how many people look for them type of cablesIf Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0 -
The kettle leads have value-£1 each??-and I'm sure the rest do. Try some on ebay or local freecycle group , better maybe local online classifieds. With ebay check packing + postage first!
What area are they?
edit - must type faster!0 -
I would agree with the previous posters suggestion to eBay them.
Divide the cables into their relevent types (kettle lead, Ethernet etc and you could then set up a "Buy-it-now" for each type. eBay allows you to make one listing but put "x number available". Sorry I cannot be more specific but the wife understands how eBay works more than I do.
Many cable sellers are based in China so you have a real advantage if you offer 1st class postage as often the item will arrive the next day.
Although you would probably only get a couple of pounds each it really could provide a nice trickle of income for very little work.
Otherwise try offering them on your local Freecycle
Just my two cents,

Id ebay them, dont forget to list them correctly eg length, type etc0

I'd disagree.
You can get a new kettle lead UK sourced and delivered on eBay for < £2 so second hand ones will fetch less or maybe not even sell - I'd buy a £2 new one in preference to any price second hand one.
From the (assumed) £1.50 sale price you have to deduct listing fees, final value fees, PayPal fees, packaging cost, postage cost. I reckon you'd be lucky to see 50p each and for that you'd need to put an advert together, pack it, address it and take it to the post office.
The only way I'd even consider listing them is like the bloke selling a job lot 100 by auction (current bid £12.52). I guess it depends on what value you put on your spare time though.
I'd just put them in the recycling.0 -
They are all new leads (unused).
We had thought about Ebay but it's not possible to do as a workplace and I can't imagine anyone be willing to take it on in their own time (at least no-one has volunteered!)
I did persuade the company that supplied the workstations to take one box full away!2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Probably one of the employees would take them away for nothing (thinking they could flog them on eBay).0

You would probably get a few quid for them as an eBay job lot - it would probably sell to some one looking for an item to trade on ebay.

There are great charities that can use them! Here -

They collect all sorts and I hear the guy speak at an event this year and was well on the ball!
Some others just in case-

That was my thoughts too (Apart from maybe some extra long cables which might be worth selling singular):idea:0
