Bizzy Kidz - good or bad?

Does anyone have any info re this modelling agency?
I sent pictures of DD on Friday and got a mail yesterday saying they are interested in her.
I've googled them and there are mixed reviews. Some said they've had a lot of work some say they've had none.
Also they want a £120 up front fee to register and have photos taken. The opinion is no agency should ask for payment up front if they are legit.
I've looked on Katie Froud's website (ex Pretty Polly model) and they are not named and shamed as beong one of the 'bad' agencies BUT she does say that an agency shouldn't ask for an up front fee.
Confused.com am I!
Any input/thoughts anyone?
TIA

No reputable modelling agency expects a signing fee or payment before they provide work. They are probably willing to sign up anyone who pays them.0

Being a cynic, I would imagine the good reviews may have been the overactive imagination of the marketing dept! Sounds like a scam to me0

My daughter was with Bizzy Kidz and it is a genuine agency although not a brilliant one. She went to a casting for a yoplait advert. She didn't really bother with the whole thing though so I can't give you more information. It is actually standard practice for childrens' agencies to charge a fee. My son is a very successful adult model and reputable agencies do not ever charge a fee in that instance, they usually take 20 per cent of your earnings. Here dead we lie because we did not choose

But young men think it is,
And we were young.

pulliptears - many thanks for the link.
I called on Tuesday and spoke to a very nice chap who knew the agency and said he knows of no concerns about them.
Another agency, UK Models has expressed interest in DD and I have left a message for him to call me to check these out as well.Susie"A woman is like a tea bag:you never know how strong she isuntil she gets in hot water."0 -

yes, I know who you meanLovely man, gave us some excellent advice for DD. She's 13 but looks a lot older and had been accepted by a London agency. The problem is, as he rightly explained, she doesn't look like a child so wouldn't get much work and is too young for adult modelling.
His advice, study hard, gain some qualifications and then try the adult agencies in a few years time. Sound advice and something which we heeded.0 -
Oh, one other piece of very good advice. There is a list out there called the Alba list. They supposedly tell you all the good trustworthy agencies. DO NOT TRUST ALBA! They are friends with several 'less than honest' agencies and thats how they get on the list....0
