Lost the NCB

Couple of questions:
  • Is there a way of finding out who the insurance provider was in past(2 years back) for a car. To complicate the matters the said car is scrapped.
  • Also is the NCB still valid if it was acquired two years back. I was looking for a quote and the insurance provider asked for the NCB not to be older than two years. Is this exception or Norm.

Good to know, at least there will be some who will take it, don't want to let it go totally waste as it is around 3 years worth of NCB. Now the problem is finding out who it was with :-(

Do you mean the new insurer can find it out just from the contact details (name, address, License etc.). As I don't remember the name of last insurer I insured the car with.
