Hi DatabaseError
Yes the Epson, did look at the Epson before buying the Canon, good reviews.
Also very kind of you to offer helping Jo4, that's a thanks from me :beer:0 -
I haven't sourced a printer yet as they seem difficult to get new and the ones which are second hand on Ebay are not working 100% according to the sellers.
If you are buying second hand then you really need to make sure it is working 100% okay, may be worthwhile buying new if you can.
If you are just wanting 10 then take up DatabaseError's kind offer.0 -

the epson r200 I use (r300 is almost identical, but with card support) takes full face printable DVD/CD, and feeds using a tray. The results are superb. Plenty of the printers available on ebay 2nd hand, I can guarantee that when mine finally dies I'll be looking for another, not least because with 6 inks colours are great, and they are dirt cheap!
I also use Ritek full face printable disks, about as cheap is it's possible to get (that £8/50 delivered looks about right) but the Ritek dye is very good, I've never had compatibility problems.
Offer is still there if you want to save the hassle, I don't mind printing 10..but 50 would have been a problem (disk cost+postage)
        Gee, I I I don't know what to say other than THANKS! :T :A Thank you sooooo much for the offer but I couldn't let you. I will have to get a printer of my own and do it myself. I just need to get the printer and printable dvds.
THANK you once again for the offer, much appreciated! :T  :j :money:0 -
no problem - it really is worth having your own printer - once you print your own label you'll wonder why you ever bothered writing on disks

Does anyone know where to purchase the Canon PIXMA iP4500, Canon PIXMA iP5300 or Epson r200 or Epson r300 brand new? I done a search on pricerunner but I keep getting the printer cartridges even though I type in printer.
I think that is all the printers which have been mentioned on this thread and are capable of printing onto cds and dvds.0 -
i know the epsons are quite old - i'd only expect 2nd hand

the canons look to be 2007 or earlier - so i guess you're out of luck there as well. there must be more recent printers with cd printing ability..maybe ask your cousin what they use?Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -

Have you sourced a printer yet or are you getting someone else to do it for you?
Thanks! I have ordered them and hopefully they will be here by the end of the week!0 -
The Canon IP4500 has been superceded by ip4850.
The IP 4850 will print directly onto CDs and DVDs.
Its available new via Amazon, and no doubt other suppliers.
Gee, THANKS! :j  £69.75 delivered and it is brand new! They are selling printers on Ebay which print cds and dvds second hand for the same price! :j :money:0
