I've used a lot of Bright Star stuff over the years but I would say avoid rockets if you can, new spec rockets are likely to be very poor/weak. See if you can get some cakes, better still try to get to an all year round shop, or if you can get to a supermarket, stock up on the lidl cakes and selection packs.
Wereabouts is this shop?0 -

Standard fireworks- http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?fh_location=//catal!!!1/en_GB/categories<{9372012}/categories<{9372022}/categories<{9562015}&fh_reftheme=promo_160229209,seeall,//catal!!!1/en_GB/categories<{9372012}/categories<{9372022}&fh_refview=summary&icamp=ns_7&listerGallery=true
Edit: Links too long to be a hyperlink I think, just copy and paste into your browser!
P.s- theres some videos on there too for those of us that love watching firework videos
Tbh, I wouldn't recommend them too much. Have you got a Lidl nearby?
Homebase are also selling fireworks, what they have done is taken argos's range (same companies) and doubled the price and offered bogof allthough what I think is very cheeky is that they have increased the price of the two big barrages (by around £20) and excluded them from bogof!0 -
Some EXCELLENT quality pieces there, plus I bet you didn't pay much
And a couple of Lidl cakes too! When you nipping to Aldi for your rockets..? haha
I did't pay much.. £46 in all!! There's 12 rockets in my photograph... is that not enough for your pyromaniacs:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
Sounds amazing
Great stash pic by the way! Thanks for posting, Ive watched the videos on youtube for quite a few of the fireworks you have they all look brilliant especially for those prices!
Good to hear you got to Lidl too, sure you will enjoy those two cakes!
Jockey, you have some good stuff there that you have chosen from supermarkets. Those powder keg mines are very good for the price Ive had them in the past. And you have deffinitly went for the right things from Lidl!
Also about rockets, you could get terminal velocity from Aldi- £9.99 for 18 I think. I had them last year, there not big but they are one of the best packs you can buy from a supermarket (nice and loud too for the size of them!)
Thanks Dan :T We need to get some for christmas too now don't we?I might get to Lidl again before next week and get a firefighter.. was very tempted but felt a bit selfish getting it just for my own pleasure :rotfl:

Haha, would be a good idea to get fireworks for Christmas although I think I would rather keep the thrill for new year! Most of the money for Christmas goes on lights and decorations! I love them, espeically all of the different lights and pieces that are available such as the reindeer etc, oh its got me wanting to go and buy Christmas lights now, as soon as bonfire night has gone that's my next objective!
Anyway better get back on topicso those B&Q fireworks dont look the best! Look at that selection box for £40!! basically something like 8 fountains couple of normal roman candles and 2 small cakes!

Oh lol glad to hear you have some Lidl stuff anyway!
Don't think there is anything worth you buying from B&Q sadly there rockets look rubbish for £15!
Do you have any all year round shops nearby, I know the nearest one might be a while away and just for rockets its probably not worth the journey. I cant think of any supermarket that's stocking 'big' rockets this year. Think it may be something to do with regulations but Im unsure!0
