The Great Cheap, Safe Fireworks Hunt

I bought the cocktail of rockets (4 small rockets and 4 large rockets in the packet) and tested them in the garden, there not that good actually. I also bought the 25 carat goldwave which is an absolute corker of a cake, and two for 12pounds is a bloody steal, the clips on youtube dont do it any justice. I doubt you'll find a better cake for that price, i'm going to buy another 4 tomorrow. I also bought the FireFighter cake, i hav'nt lit that one yet, saving that till bonfire night. Phil
I bought two of these instead of the rockets, good to know, cheers!
(Dan, take the rockets off your list & swap in an extra cake)

Yeah I think I will!
Have had to cut down my budget that I am able to spend tomorrow now. I will have about £30 (can easily have £31)!
Right, so what should I do?
I am thinking of 2 of each of the smaller cakes @£24 and one cyber box @£6.99 =£31. Thats the best option I can see. Means that I have to miss out on both the large selection box and the large cake but means that I have quite a few fireworks (and after seeing the review of 25 carat I definitely want one!)
So do you think I am best doing this or should I change to something else?0 -

If you can get to an Aldi the Terminal Velocity rockets are very good £9.99 as is the Liberator Barrage Pack 310 shots £19.99. 2-4 cakes from Lidl and something from Aldi would be good. Also Asda do 2 little keg mines which are £3 and excellent! Hope that helps.0 -

Thanks for the info, I had terminal velocity last year, they were great for the price!
I may be able to get to Aldi at a later date but I think I will buy what I have on the list tomorrow from Lidl. Ive also had the powder keg mines before and found them very good! Its just that I want to get mostly single shot fireworks rather that the more separate ones (I had the liberator barrage pack which was another version but same name from B&M last year and it was great)! I just want to try and stick a couple of bigger cakes rather than loads of different fireworks I dont want people to get bored, since Im having a birthday display next weekend with £70 worth of the Firework Warehouse fireworks!0 -

Just scanned in the Tesco leaflet, seems as though they are using Standard fireworks:

This, I've just tried a Volcano* from the Cyber Box, tiny volcano fountain but it ran for about 10+ seconds and reached 8 - 9 feet, punches WELL above it's weight, wish I'd video'd that one!
4 x Weco cakes - 2 x 25 Carat + 2 x Ipanema & 1 x Cyber Box - SORTED
*This small red Volcano in the centre of the pic - oh, & you get two!0 -
