Hello,
I am in need of a new digital camera, especially after the arrival of my son 4 weeks ago- my camera is just rubbish! I have a budget of around £200 and have been looking at the Panasonic Lumix TZ7, but wondered what else is out there in this price range? Any recommendations?
Thanks

I've had a canon and three pannys - in my opinion you really can't beat the panasonicsI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

I can't really say - I changed from canon to panasonic a few years ago and have never looked back.
If you want a good reliable compact that takes great photos, you won't go wrong with a Lumix. I had some prints done from my TZ6 and a professional photographer friend of mine was amazed at the quality.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Try asking around your local comet/dixons etc. They will often have a manager's special of the previous model, if you are not too worried about having the most up-to-date version.
Edit: What about this one - TZ8 £171

Just a warning, not about your choice it is up to you , but please please keep backups of your photos, too many people come on to the forum saying they can't access pc etc and "They have lost xx months/years of irreplaceable pictures" Warning over
