Paypal from outside of the UK

What are people's thoughts on accepting paypal payments from outside the UK. I do accept them from the US as they are generally verified and confirmed.
I personally don't accept them from outside the UK as the person is usually unverified and has an unconfirmed address and this would leave me uncovered as a seller. The reason I ask is that I have been getting a lot of European people bidding and winning my items then paying by paypal and having unconfirmed address and are unverified. I usually refund them and ask for alternative payment. I know you are all going to say you list paypal as a method of payment so you should accept it. In these cases, to me, it is like saying I accept cash and have been paid by fake notes. I do err on the side of caution and as yet when asked they have all paid by bank transfer.

I would say just that so really me offering any advice is pointless. You are likely to lose your ebay account anyway after you get enough non performing seller complaints, so I wouldn't worry too much about finding other payment methods.
All my overseas auctions are paypal only purely because I do not accept foreign currency payments or foreign cheques due to large fees payable.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. NEVER accept foreign Paypal payments (except US and Canada with a confirmed address) for high value items. For me that means anything £50 and over. I specify in those auctions that I will only ship to a Paypal confirmed delivery address. Anyone else must use bank transfer (and pay all fees).
For anything under £50 they must be Paypal verified if they dont have a confirmed address. Again I state it on the listing.
If they fail to pay by an accepted method as specified on the listing, they get an unpaid item strike.0
