My DD and I saved the plastic trays from the chocolate advent calendars from the year before and made some lovely chocolates with them.
We just melted milk and white chocolate and filled the moulds with some of them we added layers of chocolate, with others we mixed the milk & while choc to give the marble effect (like the chocolate seashells have) In some we crushed malteasers, I guess you could add smarties or anything else you fancy!
They popped out easily (with didn't need to grease the moulds or anything) I thought they would make a nice homemade pressie!

Yum yum!

Well done little cook :T :T :T0 -
My son goes hyper if he eats Kinnerton chocolate so we always stick to Cadburys. However, Kinnerton tend to do the cartoon or film advent calendars like Cars or Bob the Builder etc, so I used to buy them, open the top, pop out the crappy chocolate and make my own with melted cadburys chocolate (as above) and pop the sleeve back in.
I do it every year, although I've never thought to save the plastci sleeve and make them throughout the year too. I might get a spare calendar this year and make lots of little chocolates to give as gifts from the kids.0 -
Wow, great idea :T0
