Now I'm worried lol! Great delivery service there using.... im panicing now haha cant see them anywhere outside or over my back gate??

I've put in a complaint to Hermes as they left my Debenham's parcel outside my front door, in full view of the road, and exposed to the rain. On the card they put through the letterbox it said they'd left it 'in a secure place'. Ha! Nowhere more insecure. I also emailed Debenham's to tell them as well, as it's not the first time I've had problems with Hermes. It didn't say it was out to delivery on the website, and they could have taken the package back rather than leave it in such a bad place.

Hiya - I too had problems with Hermes. My order said delivered to porch yesterday despite the fact that my parents had been in all afternoon so there was no need to leave them anywhere! Apart from which they weren't even there!

I phoned m&m and they were very helpful and promised to chase it up they also gave me the tracking number and I found the nuimber for hermes here:

    https://www.myhermes.co.uk/wps/portal/PN_CTR/c1/04_SB8K8xLLM9MSSzPy8xBz9CP0os_hQC88wI09LYwN_RyM3A0-LQAsvL0cjYwMDA_1wkA4kFRah3iYGRsaBQS6urkYGBibmEHkDHMDRQN_PIz83Vb8gOzvN0VFREQD9Fw0q/dl2/d1/L0lJSklKSUpDZ3BSQS9JUGpBQUF4QUFFU29BQ0pHNGVGdS9ZQnB4SkZ3NDE0a3N0eW9RLzZfVThJVjJJOTMwOFZBNzBJUVBDOTA5STFHTDYvN19VOElWMkk5MzA4VkE3MElRUEM5MDlJMUdMNy9yZWZyZXNo/?content=Contact%20Us#7_U8IV2I9308VA70IQPC909I1GL7NOANCHOR

However, the man who answered the phone refused to tell me anything and when I complained about hos customer service said I wasn't his customer I was only a customer of MandM.

Anyway I got nowhere with him but the boots turned up just as I put the phone down so all was OK in the end but it lefty a bad taste in my mouth and made me think twice about using MandM again.

If anyone does phone hermes - I'd be interested to know how they treat you

    Cheers G x

  • Yeah I've had them leave things outside my door before

  • I find it's not the company it's the couriers who are the problem and these companies need to know how back they are so they can use someone else. I bet they pay a fortune for a reliable courier service and end up with these cowboys

thats ok, thank you- me too lol
  • I managed to find my local hermes number by searching 'saynoto0870', they also have a landline number for mandmdirect for anyone who needs it....anyway some common sounding guy answered the phone and told me to call back in the morning as he hasn't got a clue and someone will be able to help me then! I'm hoping the courier said they had delivered them, but won't till tomorrow as my partner was in til midday, and I left home at 10.20am- 5 mins after the 'so called' delivery so if it had been left outside I would of seen it?? Hope no one else is having problems!

I've had some awful experiences with couriers lately - had a parcel left on the doorstep yesterday when my daughter was home, one left in the back porch whilst we were on holiday a couple of weeks ago - not in the rain, but got damp, and one was delivered to the wrong road even though it had the right address (court instead of close) and the occupiers there were away so it was left in their porch! (lovely lady bought it round when she got back) Sadly it gives all delivery drivers a bad name.

But, got my uggs today, perfect delivery :) My first Ugg purchase (for my dd's xmas pressy) - great packaging and service - really pleased.

    Thanks again OP.x
  • Sorry to hear some of you had so many problems, which is inevitable when they contract the work out to local delivery people. My driver is usually really good, but for some reason he hasn't delivered today even though he picked up my parcels today. The worst that I have had is Hermes holding onto a package for four days stating that it was undeliverable, and whoever deliver for mothercare leaving a huge box outside on my doorstep, without knocking on the door even though I was in waiting for the order, left out in the rain too. Only realised it was there when hubby came home but anyone could have nicked it.
Nevermind Royal Mail who have lost a parcel which was being returned with a value of £250, no idea where it has gone and they are reluctant to reimburse. They are all as bad as each other but it's the people who work for them that let them down.

  • Is there any way to make the cardy boots water proof? Will Scotchguard help?
