Lost locked wheel nuts peugeot 307
Sooo, frustrated. My garage need to take the rear wheel off my Peugeot 307SW to repair abs fault but key for wheel nuts is lost (probably by Kwikfit!). They tried to drill off but after going through 2 bits gave up (time and cost). Peugeot service dept say they can drill off and put on new set of nuts but for £180 - which I frankly don't have lying around just at present! Kwikfit last ones to change the wheel but was a good while ago and they say haven't got anything in their safe!!! Anyone with any suggestions?

Hammer on (hard) a slighty small socket and take them off as normal.0

As a above a 12 point socket slightly smaller hammered on normally does the trick.
Done many this way and not failed yet, some have a metal ring that needs chiselling off first but that is usually the only problem0 -
Halfords should sell a "Laser tools" lock nut remover which has a reverse tapered thread inside screw it on and hopefully will work.

cheaper here but maybe not after p&p

When you have them off, take my advice and replace all your locking studs with standard non locking ones, these lockers are more trouble that they are worth.0
