You can buy big bags of teddy stuffing that might work quite well if you get the woollen stuff and then make or buy little yellow felt/fabric suns with little white or yellow beading. Only problem you might have with the candyflossesque thing is getting it to be strong enough and have enough of a structure to creat a bouquet look.

You could use wire or wicker to make a frame and and handle and then kind of pad it out from there?

You could also add small fluffy feather to really puff it up and make it look like fluffy clouds!

  • Thanks Miss Pixie, I'll be consulting htb when he gets in as well. If I went for a big fluffy cloud wedding bouquet do you think it would be mean to leave the bridesmaids without bouquets, just give them handbags or something? I'm pretty sure just the one bouquet would take a lot of work, not sure I would have the motivation to make another 3 :s
Also, LEJC, I was at one point thinking of just making flowers instead of having the actual thing - some of the paper flowers out there are truly amazing! But whenever I see pictures of artificial sunflowers they never look as good as the real thing, which has put me off - I wouldn't want obviously fake and tacky looking wedding flowers.

There are some very good artificial sunflowers around nowadays...and yes I think going for paper ones might be a really good idea...that way you end up with something that is quirky and unusual...thats the element that will make your bouquet special!

  • Yeah a little bit too green lol - the main colour of our wedding will be yellow but I also envision some orange and red in there to heat it up a bit (let's just hope it isn't wet and miserable instead! ;) ).

  • Oo thanks, very nice indeed! I also like the butter cream bouquet she's done. This is where I get really indecisive... Does she have a high turnover of button bouquets or would they likely still be there in a few months time?

I think they are one offs so to speak...but when one gets sold another one comes along...possibly you wont get 2 the same...but thats true of most things that are unique...its a good site to monitor!

  • Mm, this may be cheeky but I'm actually thinking of trying to do some of my own button bouquets for the bridesmaids based on her butter cream one. htb just walked through the door and absolutely loved it as well - it just looks so sweet and fun, just like our wedding will hopefully be. It'd also look great with the bridesmaids and I'd ideally want 3 the same.
