Scammers getting abusive

In a mad moment I picked up a International call which, of course, was someone trying to scam me with the old computer virus story.
When I told him I was not interested and I could see out of my windows perfectly, he told me to "go away", really badly, can't put the actual words down. Charming.
Because of the bad line and the time delay I had to make him say it three times before I understood it. And he called me a vile name to top it all.
What is the world coming to!!!

Yeah, I had that call, but I strung them along for a bit before revealing that I knew everything was tosh, and asking the guy how he slept at night, and why didn't he get a proper job which didn't involve ripping people off. He then called me a !!!!!!! idiot for staying on the phone to them for that long if I knew the truth. The cheek of it!0

Some people would rather let others work for a living so that they can then scam them
Its probably some scammer from Lagos Nigeria0 -

After living and working in Nigeria for 15 years, I doubt very much if the scammers are calling from lagos.
The international phone lines are normally so bad that trying to connect to a PC via a remote link would be out of the question.
The Nigerian based scammers are far more likely to stick to the e-mail based scams.0 -

It sounded like an Indian call centre.... that would be my best guess!
Trouble is eventually they will find someone vulnerable who will fall for the scam.
I'd love to know if BT can trace and block the number as these particular scammers have rang me three times in a month.0
