john lewis has a special sample size thingy of C&P - had been contemplating buying it but went for a simple cleanser instead as it was on special offer in the supermarket!! will be adding the liz earle to the christmas list though!:happyhear0

I dont like it, it gave me spots and made my skin feel horrible and I felt it was too expensive for what it is, I had a lot of samples and gave them all away, you could try Good Things available in Boots and on offer 3for2 atm, no nasties and very agreeable to sensitive skin:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I've got a tube of this (well a pump container!), but I'm alternating it with the Boots Radiance cleanser (the one you use with the cloths). To be honest I find the Boots one is just as good, and a lot cheaper too. I don't think I'll be in a hurry to buy the C&P one again, with the P&P you have to pay (if you don't live near a John Lewis!) on top it works out quite a lot.0

I've tried the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and the Hot Cloth Cleanser from Boots and have to say they are about the same IMO. The Boots one is much cheaper at £8.50 ish for 200ml whereas the Liz Earle one is £13 ish for 100ml. I personally like the muslin cloths, I bought replacements from the baby section in Wilkos.
My first choice for cleansing is OCM which I do about 3-4 days a week and the Boots Hot Cloth Cleanser on the other days

Hi all, thanks so much for all your suggestions - just wanted to update you on what I've gone for. I have really sensitive skin thats liable to breakout if it doens't like something so after looking at the huuuuge ingredient list I've decided against C&P. I have instead decided to go for Lush Ultrabland as recommended by Jenniewb. Going on the Lush website was a mistake though as I somehow also ended up getting the rosewater toner, a moisteriser and a fresh face mask... Not very MSE0

I use the A'kin Rose & Geranium cleanser/toner and my skin has never looked so clean. The full size 250ml is around £11.99 from Naturisimo website free p&p. They also do a neroli gel cleanser for oily/combination skin. I am gradually changing over to this range for moisturisers as well. Can be a bit pricey but if you shop around the net you can get the prices down or find sets on offer.
There is a try me kit of 30ml cleanser, 20ml moisturiser, 10ml serum and 30ml handcream on the Skin Nutrition website at £10.20 free P&P. Makes a nice gift as it comes in a zip waffle bag.
My sis used C&P for her acne but didn't see any improvement. She has now switched to Clarins gel wash cleanser which seems to suit her and she uses the A'kin moisturiser and serum with it.Freebies Received: Supersavvyme bag, Olay moisturiser, Barbara Daly/Tesco Mascara, Seeds of Change Choccie, Yorkshire Tea Kenyan teabags, Tesco mobile sim cards x 2.
Won: Yorkshire Tea goodie box0 -
I found cleanse and polish to be okay, but I did get the occasional spot while using it. The Tesco B'natural equivalent is half the price and I think is excellent. It doesn't smell as nice as the Liz Earle one but my skin is totally clear when I use it.
Your Lush stuff sounds fab insomniac - enjoy it!CC debt: £0/£9 0000 -
I really must get round to trying this stuff as it is talked about so often. I read a lot of beauty blogs and I flatter myself that I can spot when a PR team is in action puffing a particular product.
The consensus seems to be that it is a good product, but like all these things it is very much a question of personal taste. But it is only a bottle of cleanser. Why not give it a try?
The only thing I have noticed is that it is particularly popular on here. I don't know what it is about the Liz Earle offering that resonates with MSEers. I would have expected a website with this one's raison d'etre to be devoted to comparing the supermarket own brands and other low cost options. I suppose life would be boring if we behaved predictably.Student of the science of beauty0
