Any bad experiences of Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish?

Hi All,
My skin is absolutely doing my head in at the moment as it is never clear. So I have decided to try and do something about it. I have heard loads of brilliant feedback about Cleanse and Polish but before I put my hand in my pocket (:money:) I wanted to make sure that I have a balanced view.
Soooo.. is this really a miracle doer or have some people been less than impressed?
Hope to get some feedback soon.
Thanks!

I have tried it & was less than impressed. There was nothing wrong with it at all, I just didn't find it any better than the cheaper cleansers available in Boots. I personally found the cloths a pain. I have no washing machine and just got sick of hand-washing them etc.0

Less than impressed. Clogged my pores and irritated my skin - red dry patches etc. If you have a problem with clogged pores I think the cocoa butter (Or shea butter whichever it is) could potentially clog them more.
If you can't get hold of a sample size, order the C & P from qvc website. You can try it and return it for a full refund within 30 days. You will have to pay postage but I think this is a good way to test the product for at least 3 weeks.0 -
Thanks for the replies guys! I just wondered if there are any tips to finding myself a sample size to give it a go. Is it worth checking ebay etc?0

I think it works really well but I still can't justify the cost. I have a bottle I use sparingly (i.e. when my skin is really bad) and use another cleanser the majority of the time. Like Hermia I got fed up washing the cloths.
(By the way, I use Clearasil Deep Cleansing 3 in 1 face wash most of the time and it keeps my skin pretty clear!)0 -
I have quite a few freebie samples of this stuff! Its noce stuff but not sure I'd ever pay for it. Nothing bad about it just nothing I can't get from other products and for the price its not amazed me. However it doesn't do any harm.
If its any help I have been using Purity by Philosophy. I got it as part of a set for Christmas last year and I use it every night/day yet at only about 3/4 of the way through it.
Prior to that I used Clinique's extra extra milk facial wash and it was a similar story.
Ultra bland by Lush is a good one too but you need hot water and either cotton wool or a musclin cloth to remove you get a residue.0 -
Cleanse & Polish did leave my skin feeling very clean, but it also left it feeling very tight. I wouldn't use it again. I think Boots used to do something similar in their Time Delay range which didn't feel quite as harsh. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0

Hi, I have the moisturiser which I find is quite good. I haven't tried the cleanser as yet but it is on my list to try. I bought two muslin cloths to use with my Clinique cleanser until that runs out and I do find it makes my face feel more refreshed but the cloths are a pain, even when you have an automatic washer, its just something else to put in the wash and dry. I am now debating on whether to splash out on the cleanser. It seems cheaper than Clinique but using the Boots No7 wipes when there is a voucher on is even cheaper or the Simple wipes when they are on offer.
I have been tempted by the shampoo and conditioner but I think I may give that a miss at 7.50 or whatever each.
Mmm dunno what to do now about the cleanser0 -
It worked for a while on me but then started giving me spots. The cloths are also a real hassle.Save 12k in 2012: 0/12,000
