The search is on for the new English voice of TomTom - and it could be you! Record an audition and you could not only be selected as the voice of TomTom but you’ll also win a cool new set of wheels.

To record an audition message, call 0800 678 3001. You have 40 seconds to record your message, so remember to relax, take it slowly and be yourself - it could be YOU that we’re looking for! All you need to do is 3 things:

1 ) Make sure you leave your name and contact number
2 ) Tell us how you would direct us through a traffic jam , for example:

“Turn right at the roundabout & then straight on until you get to a set of traffic lights. Turn left here to miss a big queue of traffic because of roadworks and then left again to avoid the slow traffic before the dual carriage way…”

If you’ve got an interesting, funny or embarrassing story about you being stuck in traffic, then you can include this too.

3) Announce that you have reached your destination in your own style. This can be as serious or funny as you like!

Great to see people already interested in the Voice of TomTom competition.

As well as the competition on Heart London, we are giving away the same prize via Facebook and Twitter.

For your chance to win a New Renault M!gane Coup! Cabriolet and be the next voice of TomTom, record yourself telling us your traffic story which must include the following phrases:

• TomTom
• Traffic
• Destination
• Va Va Voom

You can do this by recording a video on the wall of the TomTom Facebook page (/tomtom) or using Audioboo or Twitvid to record your entry and tweet it to @UKTomTom with the hashtag #VoiceofTomTom.

Hi Guys

A quick update on this competition - we've made it even easier to enter by providing a short story you could tell us in case your stuck for ideas for your traffic story. Here's the script:

"If only I had taken along a TomTom sat nav when I was stuck in traffic just the other day. So near and yet so far from my destination, I sat sulking in my car, losing all my Va Va Voom."

Just a reminder that the prize for this competition is a convertible car, more specifically, a New Renault M!gane Coup! Cabriolet. The winner also gets their voice recorded as a Voice of TomTom which will be available for download to TomTom devices.
