  • Ah, very sorry. Just that im after this for this week. Im in the midlands area but pick up isnt a problem withing 50-100 miles as i have a sprinter van to pick it up in. Sorry about that. Any other info to help just ask. THanks again ;)
  • I've just got my hands on some 100mm stuff but i only need 50mm. Is there a way of cutting it in half? I thought of as jig to fit the 1.2mx2.4m with a wire that slices through making 2 50mm parts. This will be fine for my purpose but i was wondering if anyone else as ever done this? i was thinking fishing wire but then i thought you can get serrated wire made for cutting. Does anyone think this will work or any other ideas? This 100mm stuff is free so.... thanks again for any help

LOL, you must be desparate ... it's not cheese you know

If you manage to cut one of these into two 50mm sheets, then I will buy, deliver and fit your other 19 sheets* :T

  • Not going to work then :) Even with serated wire made for cutting through wood and alot harder materials? The stuff that as teeth to propper cut through stuff. All it would need is some vibration back and forth and its as good as a ban saw imho. 4inch thick is just too much, it compromisies the space that i need inside the room. For free im going give it a shot anyways :) Thanks

Found the answer with a quick scroogle actually with 'wire cutter' :) Its called a Hot Wire Foam Cutter and there easy to make. Cost litteraly about £20 -£30 and all it does is heat the wire to 200 degrees or so and you slide the foam through. Doesnt get any easier than that. I knew it. Its foam at the end of the day, theres dimand coated wire cutters that will probably do the job but i like the idea of a HOT wire cutter :) Thanks for help anyways people ;) edit: Nichrome wire is 2m for £2 on ebay, THis is the answer :)
